Group Tours

Basic Group Admission
Groups of 10 or more who reserve ahead and can pay as a group are eligible for a special group rate admission fee of $7 per person. Groups of less than 10 will be charged regular admission.

Guided Tours with a Docent
Groups of 10 or more can request a one-hour docent guided tour of the current exhibitions, the Griswold House, the gardens & grounds, or a combination tour. Guided tours are $50 for each guide (1 guide for every 20 visitors). This fee does not include group admission.


Guided Tours with a Member of the Staff

Groups of 10 or more can request a one-hour professional staff tour of the current exhibitions, the Griswold House, the gardens & grounds, or a combination tour. Guided tours by members of the professional staff are $100 * (1 staff member for every 20 visitors). * fee does not include group admission.

Lunch Options
Groups of 10 or more can request a buffet-style lunch in Marshfield House (served outdoors on the covered veranda weather permitting). The menu features assortment of wraps and sandwiches, delicious salad options, trays of assorted cookies and dessert bars, and beverages (coffee, tea, soda, and bottled water). Buffet-style lunches are $20 per person (deposit required).

Artistic Options
Groups of 10 or more can request a one-hour painting activity in the Hartman Education Center (participants will paint outdoors in the garden weather permitting). The project features basic instruction, all painting materials, and clean up. Painting activity is $5 per person.

Groups should be booked at least 2 weeks prior to date of visit.

Please have the following ready when booking a group visit.

1. Name of your organization
2. Main contact person for tour
3. Contact person’s phone number, email address, mailing address
4. First choice of date and time of visit
5. Second choice of date and time of visit (snow date option)
6. Approximate number of visitors
7. Tour options (self-guided, docent guided, lunch, painting, etc.)
8. Special requests/requirements

Groups receive a Group Tour Confirmation Form in the mail after booking is complete. Tours are not confirmed without receipt of the Group Tour Confirmation Form. Groups are encouraged to bring a copy of this form with them on the day of the tour.

Tour Cancellation and Late Arrival
Should your plans to visit change or you anticipate being more than 15 minutes late on the day of the tour, please call the Museum’s Front Desk at (860) 434-5542, ext. 111 or ext. 0.
